i dropped a message over to the freenum.org folks to setup a wildcard NAPTR record to aid in mapping our (suspicious.org) internet telephony administrative domain within the enum-like domain. it’s pretty cool. we will publish some extensions that will provide information and various test services to the voip test community.
watched spike lee’s HBO film series entitled, ‘when the levees broke‘, well at least act 1 and act 2 (out of 4), and its quite some shocking scenery of the news covereage and later interviews of residents and officials that witnessed hurricane katrina. there are politics abounding throughout the documentary, and all of this would be quite natural, as there are plenty of people that bear the burden of forever living to know that they did not respond accordingly. lots of pot shots are taken, some with merit, others maybe with less merit, but one thing remains; the whole thing turned nasty rather quickly, and really has not actually been resolved.
during the middle of the 1st act, there were a few people interviewed that commented on what they described as explosions that could be heard and felt prior to the levees breaking. there is an understood message that they are conveying that is saying that there were planned explosions that allowed the river to flow into the ninth district, and to not flow into the richer neighborhoods. based on the total testimony of those interviewed, including the engineers, this does not appear to be the case, but rather a good conspiracy theory, with some truth from the past that involved previous levee breaks.
now for my stand up act, as if i have just received some prestigious award for an indie film: i think HBO is the best production company for showcasing work like this documentary and some of the best television that i have ever seen.
