Met up with Steve last night and went to ThaiNY over on 3rd Ave and 28th Street for a dinner and a few Singha, also introduced Steve to a decent US beer - Sam Adams. For dinner, the presentation was nice; a flaming spicy chicken with broccoli and rice in the shape of a cone. And we ordered a Papaya salad to share which always reminds me of time spent in Bangkok, where the salad was just as important as the main meals themselves. Dropped a call over to Alastair and he apparently was getting on a bus in Katmandu. As this call sourced from Steve’s AU mobile roaming in NYC and calling Katmandu I have a feeling we just subsidized the mobile telephone industry for a week on this one call ;)

Now, I think I have finally found the SLR camera that I want to start shooting with; the Canon Xsi AKA 450D which is a 12.2 megapixel camera with CMOS instead of CCD, and ISO 1600.
