Day 3 at APRICOT 2006 — Truman Boyes

Over in Perth now. It's hot, almost too hot! I gave a talk at APRICOT 2006 on Broadband and Triple Play solutions. You can grab the presentation here. The talk went well, and I felt like it touched on some topics that are on the mind of many of carriers and solution providers. Specifically, I touched on the WT-101 solutions around GE DSLAMs and on the models of customer to service mapping. I compared the 1:1 VLAN to the N:1 VLAN approach, and I positioned the 1:1 VLAN approach as the simplest to configure and manage.

I am hoping that tomorrow will provide enough time to have a good look around Perth. I am flying back to New Zealand tomorrow night but don't get in to Wellington until close to 3pm Friday.

I just heard that APRICOT will be in Bali next year, so I am really looking forward to attending nexy year's conference.
